Our Irrational World
The creation of the blogosphere is an interesting phenomenon. In some ways, the world has grown considerably smaller. In other ways, we have moved further apart.
To me, one of the most disturbing things is the large number of blogs that purport to promote a particular perspective, yet contain little or no logic--all heat and no light. Their purpose is to attack, harass, intimidate, and mock other people and other positions.
If you feel strongly about something, you ought to be able to discuss it in a calm, rational and civil way. Invective is no substitute for communication.
If you feel strongly about something but don't know why, perhaps your time would be better spent listening, reading, and thinking.
If you feel strongly about something but can't articulate your position very well, use your blog to develop the ability to express your ideas in a clear and cogent manner.

You are definitely "developing". :) I sure enjoy YOUR intensity, actually. I love that you communicate articulately, and are not a whiner. Yep, I said that word in this blog. Oh, my. I'll aim for a more sophisticated comment another day! Hugs to all you bloggers out there, and especially to this one!
